Influence of Using Rubrics in Higher Education on Students’ Performance and Academic Motivation

Introduction. The relevance of the chosen topic is justified by need for further discussion on problem ensuring an objective and transparent assessment students’ work. It also necessary to develop test formative tools that allow students improve their academic performance interest in learning. Rubrics are offered as one such tool. They a matrix criteria or attributes evaluating specific task compliance levels. Purpose . study aimed determine how application rubrics assess tasks performed affects motivation study. Materials Methods. methodology based questioning experiment involving joint development with evaluate completed subject. Results. results obtained confirm hypothesis facilitates increase performance. In addition, using allows receive feedback from teacher form comments achievement levels used. use helped activity classroom show more scientific literature, including foreign language. Discussion Conclusion. Comparison existing works field confirms effectiveness, achieved understandable criteria. seem be promising tool assessing most significant complex subject since satisfaction students, together subsequence impartiality assessment. One rubrics’ limitations some suppression pursuit fulfil creative potential, which needs worked out research.
